Young Christian CEO Leadership Conference

Mission: To seek, shape, and develop youth for roles in leadership and entrepreneurship.

The Young Christian CEO Leadership Conference began in June 2012 after Dr. Robert Watkins did a workshop for the youth ages 13-18 in 2011. The conference is designed to create an awareness of the leadership abilities within the youth of our community to educate, develop, and empower them to walk in their created purpose with confidence and knowledge.


  • The conference is open to all youth between the ages of 13-18 
  • The conference will prepare students to: 
  • Recognize money-making opportunities 
  • Estimate start-up cost 
  • Write a 3-10 page business plan 
  • Set up a record-keeping system 
  • Design marketing materials and create a sale presentation 
  • Figure return on investment (ROI) 
  • Prepare for a trade show 
  • Start and operate a youth-owned business 
  • Prepare for a trade show and/or business plan competition 
  • Start bringing in income from their own business ventures 
  • Dress for success

Meet The Facilitator

sandradblandSandra Devoe Bland is the CEO and founder of S. J. Devoe & Associates. Her vision is: To Be A Light -Matthew 5:15-16 (NKJV) 15. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Her mission is: To Be a Helper of Mankind. Proverbs 3:28 - (NLT) - 28. If you can help your neighbor now, don't say, Come back tomorrow, and then I'll help you." Mrs. Bland is committed to helping people. She conducts workshops and seminars, to encourage and motivate. She consults with churches, corporations, small businesses, and community organizations. Many seek her counsel with regard to leadership, strategic planning, facilitation, process improvements, goal setting, project management, financial literacy, and team building. Mrs. Bland serves as a member of the SRP Federal Credit Union (Aiken, SC) Board of Directors and the Richmond/Burke County Workforce Investment Board. She is a graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (1984) and a Master's Degree in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management (2009).
